Mission Statement

The Locust Valley Historical Society, founded in 1983, is dedicated to the preservation, conservation and interpretation of the history of Locust Valley, including Matinecock, Lattingtown, Mill Neck, and the Brookvilles.
In 1995 the Locust Valley Library Board of trustees provided the LVHS with a room on the third floor now known as the “Julia Clark Historical Collection”.
