Mission Statement

The Locust Valley Historical Society, founded in 1983 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 member-supported organization, is dedicated to the preservation, conservation and interpretation of the history of Locust Valley, including Matinecock, Lattingtown, Mill Neck and the Brookvilles.

  
  • In 1995 the Locust Valley Library Board of trustees provided the LVHS with a room on the third floor now known as the “Julia Clark Historical Collection”.
